Egypt's Trade Information Portal makes complex trade procedures understandable. Trade procedures are displayed step-by-step from start to finish, from a trader’s point of view. This information includes forms, contacts, costs, duration and legal bases. Available in English and Arabic the step-by-step functionality serves as one-stop-shop providing useful, clear, precise and up-to-date information on export and import procedures in Egypt in an easily accessible manner for the business operators.

Trade Information portals respond to demands from traders for greater transparency and simplicity in importing and exporting. Under this premise, the Ministry of Investment and Foreign Trade, in compliance with article 1.2 of the World Trade Organization's Trade Facilitation Agreement, and within the framework of the project "Accelerate Trade Facilitation Programme", through Egypt's National Trade Facilitation Committee (NTFC) has collected and developed the necessary Information to implement the Trade Information Portal. Which has been developed by the UN Trade & Development (UNCTAD), with the support of His Majesty Revenue and Customs (HMRC).
